In 1965, under Pastor Flanagan, Antioch moved to a neighborhood on Atlanta Avenue, later renamed Hibernia Avenue where a new edifice was erected overlooking the city. On September 24, 1995, the congregation moved from 109 Hibernia Avenue in Decatur, Georgia to 765 S. Hairston Road in Stone Mountain, Georgia under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Stafford J. Wicker, now 137th elected and consecrated Bishop in the AME church. This relocation was one of the largest acquisitions among A.M.E. Churches in the southeastern United States. Situated on 8 acres of land, the 15,000-square foot building houses a sanctuary, office area complex and multi-purpose facilities.
In October 2007, Antioch purchased the Antioch AME Church-Conyers Campus, located at 1790 Ebenezer Road, Conyers Georgia. This 15-acre site has a sanctuary, administrative offices, class rooms, full kitchen and a large conference/meeting room that can also double as additional seating space. There is also a separate living life center.
During the 2016 Mid-Year Convocation in Columbus, Ga, Bishop Reginald T. Jackson, 132nd elected and consecrated Bishop of the AME church, and currently, the Presiding Prelate of the Sixth Episcopal District – the State of Georgia, appointed the Rev. Shawn D. Drains, to become the first Pastor of Antioch-East AME Church. “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
